July 11th-17th is national forest week. Our incredible 193-million-acre National Forest System offers benefits beyond measure to Americans. However, we’re losing millions of acres per year due to wildfires. These fires are taking lives, homes, businesses, our pets & destroying eco systems. Oregon had over 1.9 million acres burn in the last two years alone. That’s the second most in the nation.
State managed forests allow for hyper local prevention methods while also reducing response times dramatically, saving lives, homes & property.
It’s time for change.

- Our state’s largest city had homicides increase over 300% over the past 2 years
- Oregon had the 2nd most amount of acres burned in the nation in 2021
- Drug overdose deaths are up over 40%
- Homelessness in many areas of Oregon is up over 60%
- Inflation is over 8.5% with a recession on the way
